Here's some screen shots from the video shoot I directed. Right now the video is still in post-production and has been for longer than I like to admit. I've found that I really dislike editing so I've been procrastinating working on it. Anyway, I had so much fun working on this video. I knew that I couldn't do a video for music that I didn't have some sort of emotional response to, and I was running out of time to find a band, so I really lucked out. I absolutely love their style and their music and I think we were a perfect fit. They were so patient with me (and still are while they wait for the video) and I would love to work with them again.
A lot of the stage is made up of personal items that belong to the band. The idea behind the set-up is a cozy/homey environment within an empty space, so instead of going out and finding random props and objects, they wanted to use their own items to really make the setting belong to them.
This is Archie (RIP). Micheal really loves beta fish so I thought it would be cool to put one in the video. I placed him in a clear flower vase and put him on the table inbetween Micheal and Jensen on stage. Unfortunately he was a bit shy and hung around the bottom of the vase, so I have to add insert shots so people know whats in there and don't think there's a random vase filled with water sitting on the table.

The things hanging from the ceiling are photostrips. I got a fantastic photographer and set up a photoshoot to take pictures that resembled a photobooth. Micheal and Jensen did such a great job with coming up with different faces to make, different clothes to wear and props to use, etc...I got the strips printed out in traditional photostrip size and hung them from the beams. They really add this great element to the whole set while they sway in the background of some shots.
